I bought a deluxe edition for my niece a couple of years ago and got one for myself while I was at it but have to admit I haven't sat down and read it through yet. Will always remember that these books are where I first learned the word 'skein'. Funny how things like that stick with you. My niece (half-French and mostly French speaking) was about eight at the time I think and used to think it was great fun saying Milly-Molly-Mandy over and over again.

Yes! Thats where I learnt the word 'skein' from too! And learnt how to spell 'material'

Loved it!! May have to look at getting them again. its the sort of thing I would like my children to read (when/if i have any that is)
