Treen by commission

Post: # 152197Post bodrighy »

Someone on another forum spotted one of these that I had made and asked me to make one for them. The just recieved it and were chuffed to bits with it. Lovely when people like your work isn't it

Image

It's a beech mortar & hazel pestle. Finished just with a lot of sanding to get it really smmooth. It's 6" dia nd heavy duty. Wsighs just over a kilo. The bark is only on the outside so doesn't affect it's use. Just makes it look rustic

From not bother to do treen I suddenly seem to have people wanting the stuff.

The lady who ordered the first M&P liked it so much that she ordered a bigger one as a present for someone. Yhis one is 7 1/2" dia. & 5" deep.

Then grankids came to stay and we found we didn't have enough eggcups so the boss told me me to make some

Then two of my daughters in law for some reason wanted honey dippers.

Maybe something I need to do more of.

I have an old Perform that is on it's last legs and most of this sort of thing is being done on a Jet mini.
