Can someone give me a kick up the a***?

Post: # 171627Post thesunflowergal »

I have 2.5kg plums, and 1kg Raspberries downstairs to make into jam tonight. It needs doing tonight whilest the small people are in bed, otherwise they want to help.

But I really can not be bothered, I am too tired and I feel like a whale.

Someone kick me please!!

not from me - I always make mistakes when I'm tired and hate wasting the stuff. Go to bed and get up earlier and you'll do it in half the time. Layer the plums with sugar and leave over night they will make much better jam tomorrow.
Go to bed!

I echo that. Also freezing fruit helps to break down the flesh and it cooks up a lot quicker.

Look after yourself and your baby, the jam isn't as important as you two are.

I would offer to come and help but I'm working now, but why not get a friend to pop round and help, one of you can keep the kids occupied while the other stirs.

Cheers
Zoe

Thanks everyone. Don't worry I am looking after myself, and the babe.

I made the raspberry jam, and will do the plum tomorrow. I have cover the plum with sugar as Healer suggested.

Zoe - Where are you working? Are you, the cats and chooks ok?

Off to bed in a min, just waiting for Kai to get home from work.
