I quite liked the bloke last night - Rhod somebody. But I wasn't overly impressed with last weeks - can't even remember who it was.
I miss Bill Bailey too!

Re: Never Mind the Buzzcocks
I stopped watching it when that silly little bloke took over from whoever did it originally (was it Mark Lamarr?). The silly little bloke wasn't funny and just irritated me. But I never could get the songs they were humming/la de da-ing to which irritated me even more!
However I have appeared on Buzzcocks.
They showed a clip from the 70s of Osibisa on TOTP which just happened to be when I was there. Luckily I was recording that episode so I have about 3 seconds of me aged about 14 doing an embarassing bop at the front of the audience.

Re: Never Mind the Buzzcocks
I loved the show when Mark Lamarr did it, and was deeply suspicious of Simon Amstell. However, he was hilarious - few things get me laughing out loud on telly but I was painfully sore with laughter a couple of times with Amstell playing off Phil Jupitus - and I soon preferred him.
Recently, the show has dropped off my very short list of "must see" programmes. It's inevitable that a rotating host will be "hit or miss" but they've fared very poorly in their choices compared to, say, Have I Got News For You, with only a couple of funny hosts.
Corden, for instance, was an excellent guest who played well off Germaine Greer. But as host he was just a nice guy asking questions. No spark

Sadly Simon Amstell has gone He quit, I agree that he was perfect for the show!
The guy from the Kaiser chiefs was great when he filled in a few series ago, he would be a good replacement.

The ratings basically nosedived and Amstell took the bullet. I think he is a Marmite presenter if you get my drift.
No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery

No way, I was far too cool in 1977! It was Sunshine day in 1975.
And I've already searched, after sussing out how to use Youtube, and I'm not there .
So I'm safe, phew!
