What are your top 5 TV programmes

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

What are your top 5 TV programmes

Post: # 171481Post homegrown »

Buy the time new zealand gets something from UK or States the rest of the world is usually on reruns, but mine are

Rosemary & Time
Monarch of the Glen
Dr Who
Lie to Me
Survivor (I know its realty TV but there is something about watching complete strangers try to get a long under unusual circumstances that appeals to me, if they ever did an international version I love to have ago myself, but the wife would probably leave me she prefers the Amazing Race)

The Good Life is above all as true British Comedy but we don't get that here anymore Shame
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

CSI
CSI New York
HFW's River cottage series
Antiques Road Show
Never mind the Buzzcocks

I'm out of work at present and so have discovered the joys of day time TV. Sixty minute make over is a hoot - it's so badly done. I also rather like Come Dine With Me - people can be so funny!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

QI - very funny and I always learn something
True Blood - at the end of every episode, OH and I both go "oooOOOoooo". Grippin' stuff
House - love to hate him.
Frasier - never fails to make me laugh, even when I've seen it several times before
Life on Mars - don't you just love Gene Hunt? I follow someone using that name on Twitter. He's so funny

In no particular order, (again)

Have I Got News For You
QI
Mock The Week (yes, we love Frankie too, bud Ed Burns is a close second)
Mastermind
Timeteam

Having listed the above, I have to add that I wouldn't loose any sleep if I never saw these programmes again. If I didn't have access to BBC News Channel however, I'd be lost, but 'the news' isn't really a programme is it?

Only watch a few on BBCi and 4OD

Hairy Bikers
Jamies Kitchen (or others like it)
River Cottage (of any kind of bent)

err... that's it... don't have time to sit down and watch stuff to be honest. Went to my parents who have the TV on all the time a couple of weeks ago... it drove myself and OH insane and we had to get out of the house to get away from it... awful :(

Wouldn't it be great if there was a tv channel for self-sufficient types that only had really useful info/inspirational type programmes

But not Shortland Street :banghead: :pukeright:

Trashy New Zealand soap opera
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."
