Re: Wood Ash
If you wan to burn wood mainly for the purpose of producing potash to spread on the garden is it better to use young alive bits of wood and green leaves (the sort of stuff thats hard to burn and smokes a lot) or big tree logs and deadwood? Ive been told the former has more potassium in.
Thanks

Re: Wood Ash
the wood ash that comes out of mine would be very flighty, perhaps you dampen it first then com[act it. Is what I would do

Re: Wood Ash
Waste of a valuable material putting it on a path. Now cinders is something different
Re: Wood Ash
Have been using my coal ash to make a path, its a bit heavier, I'm saving my wood ash for the veggie plot, I never knew it could go round so many different things!

Re: Wood Ash
To be fair I havemn't tried to make a path out of woodash, I use my coal ash for that, I tend to put my woodash in for the chickens to fossik around in and on the compost heap. At the moment most of my wood ash is keeping my dahlia tubers warm
