Hi from tizzy

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hi from tizzy

Post: # 187208Post tizzy »

Hi, i'm tizzy. Self sufficiency has been a big part of our lives for about twenty-five years, but I've been recycling since I was about eleven. Mostly my mum's clothes and without her permission. Bet there's a few like me on here
Looking forward to meeting them.

Your polytunnel looks nice and clean.....very impressed. Got to clean ours again with a broom and soapy water. It gets a bit of algae every few years. How was the snow for you?

Very little here but 5 miles in any direction we were blocked in.

The pic was of the polytunnel immediately after we built it! It's not so clean now

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free

It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

We have an orcadian friend Spider, from up in Sanday.
It's quite a multinational forum here from what I can see, i like that. Nice to hear how other countries do things.

We've been here for nearly two years but haven't managed to get over to Sanday yet Tizzy - or a lot of the other islands either - but we intend to  .

So Jessiebean, is it the middle of summer for you? We have slushy snow and quagmire here.

it is the middle of Australian summer yes, but here in Tassie the weather is cooling a wee bit, the sun goes down at about 8.30pm now... the sun is still terribly fierce in the middle of the day due to the hole in the ozone layer being so close to us!
