Lighter later campaign

If you know of a way to help save our planet, even just a small part of it put it here. Also if you want to ask how to help, or even if you want to promote your environmental organisation. All goes here.

Wait a second... In winter, instead of having lights on until 8:30 in the morning, they want me to have the lights on until 9:30? How does that help conserve energy? :dontknow: This doesn't make sense to me.

Hmmm, would love the idea of getting home in the light, except that with my job, it wouldn't happen anyway. Every year, even before we put the clocks back, I'm leaving home and getting home in the dark. It was getting dark as I got home tonight so no difference there then.

I just want more light!

Cos, if you work 9-5 at least the extra energy is at your boss' expense, not yours.

Here's an idea - move to northern France as we are an hour ahead of you. Just be prepared to have dark until 9am in winter!

It's all swings and roundabouts, you only get X amount of daylight hours whatever 'time' you set your clocks on.

But that says more about your job rather than lighter nights etc. It's sad that you have to do this as well.

Not sure it would help us up here - not quite Midnight Sun land, but not far off  What I really need is a grant to pay for my light lamp in the winter darkness
