Bordering on ridiculous now..

Post: # 20862Post Hillbilly »

This weather.

30 minutes ago the outside temperature was 14 deg C, blue skies and sunshine.

Now it is a hail storm.

There was snow in Cushnie two days ago (admittedly it didnt last..)

It went to -5.6 deg C in Lawrencekirk

Maybe my memory is failing me but does it do this every year in almost JUNE!!?

No, you aren't imagining it. It's just the pits out there.

My other half is a landscaper and has been totally soaked for the last week or two. I reckon he's gonna get trench foot at this rate!

No hail today here at Kildrummy but the rain is pouring.... yet I can see blue sky beyond.

I remember heavy snowfall at glenbuchat when we moved there - and that was on the 31st May!!

About time we had some decent weather though isn't it. Climate chaos indeed.

and now we have a swarm of god knows what - thousands of them... a bit like ants but not quite the same.... yuck! Can see them as far as the eye can allow.

At least they are outside

I am off into the garden now to put the washing on the line. I know this sounds like a dull event, but the sun is OUT!

It's sunny now - beautiful even... pink edged slate-blue clouds on the horizon. It's that beautiful evening sunlight that makes everything seem perfect! There's a hint of a breeze playing with the leaves on the trees... and no sign of the hail/flies/snow/strong winds of earlier today.

I think Stonehead made reference to the number of seasons in one day up here in Aberdeenshire.. I think we had them all today.

Did anyone see the new advert on tv yet? The one that portrays British summertime and our reaction to it? Whoever came up with that concept must live here.....

Haven't seen that one Heps.

The forecast here for Monday/tuesday is for cold northerly winds and nighttime temperatures of 1 C and yet more rain and possibly even snow!! :toothy2: Still, the cold might just kill of the flies - weirdy bugs - been looking through the insect book trying to identify them.

I remeber hearing someting a while back that global warming could warm up England and cool down Scotland and there would also be more rainfall. Well two out of three seem to be happening at the moment.
