Cloned cows

Post: # 204702Post bonniethomas06 »

I am suprised this one hasn't featured on the board yet...but for those who haven't heard there has been a slip up and cloned calves have made their way into the food chain:

Compassion in World Farming have set up a petition which they plan to deliver to the PM tomorrow (Fri 6th Aug) if you are against cloning and would like to add your support:

Hadn't thought about the welfare implications of this before, but something within my basic sense of right and wrong tells me that cloning is not right...and I like the way CIWF put it: 'when the individuality of the animal is lost, factory farming begins'
"A pretty face is fine, but what a farmer needs is a woman who can carry a pig under each arm"
