Using the Plot: Tales of an Allotment Chef - Paul Merrett.

Post: # 215859Post Cligereen »

Just bought this book during one of my many regular trawls through the bookshops. I love reading about other peoples' experiences on the plot, to reassure myself if nothing else. I also love cooking and I'm sometimes at a loss as to what to cook with my produce.

This book is a very easy read and Paul Merrett has a very dry sense of humour which appeals to me. Think of 'Grumpy Old Men on the Allotment' and you have the idea. He gives up supermarket shopping for a year to live on the produce of his plot, helped by family and friends.

I haven't quite finished it yet but I'm very impressed. :thumbright:
