Well, this thread is a bit of a guilty pleasure, so please don't stop. Al's advice is his own, and given the obvious struggles he has had with weight and his ongoing possitiveness to doing something about it, it is great. Again with Keanie, always thought it was amazing how someone who looks so damm lovely in her Pic, would ever need to diet..... But it is all personal. It is nearly May, and for one I intend to start again and really make the effort this time. Just done two and a half hours on the mower and I am knackered, better than Wii Fit any day.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

last weeks 3 lb weight loss has all gone back on :(

back at 11st 7 lb
up and down, swings and roundabouts.... keep the faith and you will succeed OVER THE LONG TERM.

I lost 3.6 pounds this week.

Oh yes - i intend to keep trying!

I have a net loss of 5 lb since january --which although small & slow is better than a net gain!

At this rate it'll be at least 2 years before i reach my goal of under 10 stone!

Have lost a pound this week :)

11 st 6 lb

My total weight-loss so far this year is about a stone, which would have met my initial target had it not been offset by frequent gains of a pound or so! Result: net loss of 6 lb

Well done everyone, it is so hard to keep going after a gain, but so worth it. If i had the willpower I would only weigh myself once a month- but I don't.

An update: lost 2lbs last week and 1.5lbs this week - to date 10lbs off since 6th April.

Have a good week everyone :sunny:

Another pound down :)

11 st 3 and a bit !!

Unfortunately we are going away tomorrow which means a week of cooked brekkies and restaurant meals, so suspect i might not be able to sustain the downward trend!

I really thought I had it licked, but had a very sociable weekend and fell off the wagon yet again! My daughter says I should not chase after it, but sit back with a glass of wine and wait for the next one.

a glass of water might be better than a glass of wine!

i go by the principle that so long as you try hard during the week, a sociable weekend isn't going to hurt too much every now n again

(i'm not always right, mind you!)
