too late to plant Rhubarb?

desperate to install a rhubarb patch on my Lott, i got 3 crowns on sale in wilkinsons today- checking the label it says plant in March.
well where i am not only is obviously May, it's been like July for 8 weeks!
will they be ok if i plant them out now? :scratch:

I'd plant them out - you won't be eating any this year possibly, but should establish for next year

If they are in pots at the moment you can plant them any time you like, including mid-May. :iconbiggrin:
Just so long as you keep them well watered for the summer months while they are making a strong root system, they should be fine. Giving them a thick mulch will help too.
