In true Ish style

Post: # 235405Post mrsflibble »

I was given a completely free embroidery sewing machine, gubbins needed to use it and about £100 worth of threads. my auntie RULES lol!!

so, I've been learning how to use the bugger. it's a great machine fo just stardard sewing too.

ok by the timeI had finished this design (over an hour to stitch, another 30mins to trim the threads, about an hour to back it...) soph was very muchasleep so I modelled it!

free standing lace: this was bugger 'cos of tension issues, but with a lot of help from the good peopleover at sewforum.com, I managed it!

and a cuff bracelt for my brother. embroidered on pleather (urgh what a bugger!!) backed with polyester, hand hemmed due to lack of a teflon foot.

Fabulous makes! You are so talented, and imaginative and it's always a joy to see what you've created.
I can't cope with an electric sewing machine of any description, let alone one that can embroider, so I'm filled with admiration!
We all have two gifts we should try to use as much as possible - imagination and humour.
Imagination compensates us for what we are not.
A sense of humour consoles us for what we are.
And wisdom tells us not to worry about it!

You are obviously the right person to have that machine. That snowflake is very cool!

The thing I love about the snowflake is the very subtle skull motif in the middle!
