beetroot wine problem

hi,i made beetroot wine a couple of weeks ago,at first it fermented madly for a week then stopped dead,i took it out of the plastic tub and into a demijar,it still hasnt moved,no air bubbles,i dont want to lose this as i grew the beetroot my self and used what i had in the wine,i have thought of adding more sugar and yeast,what do you think? :dontknow:

Hi Sheila ...

Tell us a bit more. How much beetroot was in the recipe and how much sugar? Did you add anything else? Where did you keep the fermenting bucket and how warm was it there? Now that you've moved it, how warm is it now?

In the meantime, don't worry about it. Fermentations rarely stop for any other reason than that they're finished, so don't get glum yet :iconbiggrin:
