I hate that Titchy show though! Is it his awful afternoon 'chat' show. I do wish he'd stick to gardening, but even that he's gone and dumbed down (that last series was just abysmal).
Good publicity for Andy though!

Yup, just caught up with it on facebook, it is on Monday (usually it's late afternoon I think) and Joan Collins is probably going to be on with him!!!

Re: Andy Hamilton on TV! (Alan Titchmarsh show)
Yep, recorded it this morning and now its just been on. Was all for book publicity and he mentioned it a couple of times plus showing the bottle labels with Booze for free written on them, so yep I was quite happy with it. Still tossed and turned the night before and worried myself sick until the day. He (alan) was quite nice and quite supportive and the crew seemed to like him too so in all despite the nerves quite a positive experience. Did anyone notice I accidently put two fingers up at him at one point though (whoops).

Well done Andy must be quite nerve wracking appearing on tv for the first time. Didn't notice you put two fingers up - what happened there then? It came across well - i hope you got some good publicity from it.

Like the new hairdo - my OH said "Oh Andy's had his haircut!" You did well and I enjoyed it. Also enjoyed seeing Martin Clunes - and fast forwarding thru the boring bits! Brilliant publicity for your book.

Re: Andy Hamilton on TV! (Alan Titchmarsh show)
Well, its not acutally the first time I've been on telly and it wasn't live nor was their an audience (that's all added later). Filming for Autumnwatch next week too.southeast-isher wrote:Well done Andy must be quite nerve wracking appearing on tv for the first time. Publicity was amazing, the book shot up the amazon rank and was at 34 for a bit. So I think 100's of books were sold on the back of it.
M3, thought you'd seen the haircut? Well, about time I've had long hair for 15 years or more.
As for him being a bit rude, well I thought he was ok - but then when you mix the off and on camera I guess you see something different. Anyway, he was kind of just playing a part by saying he didn't like the nettle beer etc and well if he's used to fine wines or something perhaps he didn't. Mind you I tried to counter any negative comments.

Re: Andy Hamilton on TV! (Alan Titchmarsh show)
Andy I've only seen your haircut in your avatar photo!
How come there is no audience? How does that work then "it's added later". Do you mean some of it is in front of an audience but your bit was filmed beforehand, or his whole show is just a farce full of canned laughter and applause?
And was Joan C on it? Because he never mentioned her being on it so we turned off after Martin Clunes (who was brilliantly funny).
