Shaggy parasols can get quite large right enough...

Check out the stems, if they have a snake-like pattern they're plain parasols which make very good eating when well cooked but you may wish to remove the hard umbo from the centre, some find it difficult to digest and it can make you feel rather squiffy.trinder wrote:Right loads of em.

If the stems are without a definite pattern they're shaggy parasols. Eating these can cause digestive upset and/or itchy skin in some.
Either way, double check and cross reference them for a 100% positive id before eating.
Enjoy
PS the cap scales turn delicious and nutty when cooked so benefit from careful handling. Also, any caps that are not fully opened if picked with a long stem will continue to open.
