What are we all having for dinner?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Brown rice, with steamed cabbage, leeks, carrots and peppers all dressed with sesame oil, tamari, parsley and homemade hot pepper sauce.

Yummy and good for me!
You do some nice stuff: that sounds like my kinda meal. Hmmm, we might have most of those things.

What do you like about sesame oil? It's not one I've tried, I'm a bit of a olive oil addict, I'm afraid but I might be convinced to try it.
There is no question. Cap and Share or TEQs is the answer. Even Cap and Dividend!

Good strong food on Jacobs crackers: cheese/chorizo sausage, olives, anchovies, venison mince over-loaded with coriander :hugish:

And... a good bottle of chilled, white wine. :drunken:

And all beacuse i've just heard that my dad is getting out of hospital after catching legionairres disease - we all thought he was going to die. Can't wait to get the grumpy old git home!!

It gives a lovely nutty taste. I only use it for dressings, it's too expensive to fry stuff in, plus I'm not sure it's stable at high temps. Olive oil would be lovely too - I use that most of the time too.

Great news dustydave. :grouphug:

Just realised that our local cafe which was shut over the last few months is not only open again for the season but has started the Thursday "fish n' chips nights". That's what I'll be having tomorrow!

It could be Spagbog. I started out with a pack of minced beef but I kept adding stuff, so who knows.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

a lot of meals have an egg theme at the mo - due to egg mountain

As do mine, and just coming to the end of PSB and other spring greens, so you have inspired me to have your famous sausage and egg pie tonight ... the eggs are boiling as I type, but I shall add some mushrooms to get rid of those still left that were on special at Lidls last week.
It will make a change to have a non-brassica oriented meal.
Thanks Red. :thumbright:
