Which venue shall we choose for the intersite olymics?

Post: # 25444Post Andy Hamilton »

Right so the idea of an intersite meet up is taking shape.

A date is penciled in for the second weekend in August. (12-13th)

We have been offered 2 venues one a field in coventry and the other a campsite in Devon.

The campsite has toilets etc, but the field might be easier to get to for everyone.

I think this needs to go to a vote.

Can we have a list of what facilities are availiable on each site? I know what the Devon one looks like but it would be nice to 'see' the other side too

Hi I have offered the use of one of my fields near to Coventry, but there are no facilities on it at all. I could arrange for a water bowser but thats about it apart from the grass and a few chucks and maybe some Gloucester Old Spots Pigs.

Looks like we have a clear winner with Devon it is ahead on all the sites.

Shall I make the executive decision and close the voting?

Sorry shirlz I know this is much more of a distance for you.

Andy... it's not just me but the rest of the scottish lot... we now need to organise our ultra green transport... need to know who from Scotland is coming (from ALL the forums)

Personally I'd rather go the extra distance for Devon as it's (with MASSIVE apologies to Tango because your offer was such a lovely one THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU) nicer (ducks to avoid something hard being flung from Tango's desk)

Plus it means I can probably drag down a bit of extra support from my non-isher best mate from Bristol (pole dancer too!!!) - now just got to find an animal sitter for the chooks/ducks/goose

 Good site, know it well and about 20 miles from me. If you decide on that one will definitely be able to see you there. Unfortunately Coventry is too far for us as we cannot leave the animals over night

I would love to come but as a non driver could anyone going down M5 or M4 make a small detour. I am in Cirencester but could get to Swindon junctions on M4 or Cheltenham on M5. I would promise to pack light and can read a map as well.

I will also have a spare 4 person tent that someone may have the use of if they let me know.
