Absolutely not - it's a source of iron - which of course must be accompanied by a source of vit C, such as orange juice, which, in order to prevent it going off, must have a preservative, such as vodka, added to it!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

No, it shouldn't be outlawed, but the UK Gov should introduce the following measures to control its use:

1. Ban chocolate from all school tuck shops, nipping addiction in the bud. It's outrageous that manufacturers are continually allowed to groom addiction in children.
2. All chocolate to be sold in plain brown wrappers, positioned on the top shelf. It should be made illegal to sell chocolates close to the check out or within the reach of kids.
3. Ban all vending machines in public places.
4. Ban the sale of chocolate-based products from restaurants and cafe to reduce levels of temptation to non-chocolate consuming clients. Restaurants may set up a 'chocolate tent' in the garden for those who can't go the evening without their chocolate fondent.
5. Ban chocolate consumption at work. It's a well-documented fact that workers, particularly office workers, are prone to 'snacking out' whilst at their desks thereby reduce the health and productivity of the nation.
6. Levy a heavy duty on chocolate sales to increase prices, reduce ease of purchase, and to suppliment funds to the NHS to deal with chocolate-related health issues.
7. Heavy prison sentences for celebrity chefs (especially Ramsay) who blantently tout chocolate-based recipes on TV thus fostering dependancy and addiction.

Just say no!
