Nothing like a little...

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Nothing like a little...

...company to cheer you up!

Last night we had my best friend, her husband, and their son over for supper. We had a Fish Fry, including;

Striper, White Bass, and Crappie--all fried up in my Sweeties' breading recipe
Fries (Chips?!)
A large green salad with home-made Buttermilk Dressing and slivered almonds
Waldorf Salad
Pickles
"World's Best" Brownies
"Singing in Another Key Lime Pie"

It was soooo good, and the conversation was wonderful!
What if you're wrong? What if there's more? What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for?

That sounds so lovely, very envious. I can't wait to be living in my house soon and cooking, in my not huge but nice kitchen with a table in the middle for all my friend to sit at while I cook them a nice dinner. But I have just made a big batch of chelsea buns, lovely and sticky just from the oven in my poxy mobile home, where there isn't room to swing a skinny cat, and me and the wizard are scoffin em down

Do I hear a hint of discontentment in your contentment? Are you renovating your house whilst living in your mobile home?

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Just a little bit, it will be 3 years in Feb that we moved out of the house, an old stone farmhouse that was , f@@@@d, so we have gutted it and started again. The mobile was nice to start off with, but these holiday statics are not designed for permananent living and we have mould under the bed and up the walls and all my bottled produce in stashed everywhere, but I have to think to myself, there are folk round the world who would love what I have, so not really that discontented :sunny:
