Re: What are we all having for dinner?
The OH visiting family in Holland, so left me charge, forgot the mushrooms in the cellar, went into get a bottle "what else"and found 4 large mushrooms trying to escape the box; I captured them and sentenced them to Pan with a few Rashers of bacon and an egg or even two.
Will go well with the bottle

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
As the weather here has reverted to sub-arctic with 60mph+ winds (the polytunnel is standing up to the onslaught well, thus far ) the planned roast chicken has changed to chicken and barley casserole.
Edit: The above casserole was unbelievably good with enough leftovers for tonight
Oh and the wind is starting to subside

Tonight myself and DD are having soup made from Sticky Chicken carcass and leftover rolls. Then stirring up a batch of strawberry lemonaid because her class is visiting our farm tomorrow.

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
Fried (yesterdays leftover) potatoes; nice homegrown cabbage; and a piece of pheasant which I cooked and froze some days ago. Right now we get pheasants every week from a shoot across the road - yum!
