Its supposed to be the best meteor shower of the year, peaking last night and tonight ( 13th & 14th December ) with up to 120 meteors visible per minuet, coming from the gemini constalation and can be seen from across the plannet, as long there's no clouds.

Thick fog did for any chance of viewing I had. Typically, once the meteor shower had gone, so had the bloody fog!

Never mind, there are always other predictable annual showers throughout the year.
The Perseids are usually the best which peaks about the 11th of August, but the next one is the Quadrantids that peaks on January 3rd.
PLUS, next year we have comet ISON to look forward to which is predicted to be so bright as to be visible in daylight (although perhaps not on foggy/rainy days
) but we will have to wait and see, I remember great things being predicted for Halley's comet too.

Is ISON the comet that's going to orbit past the sun close enough so the ice will melt and produce a big vapor trail that will be visible from everywhere on Earth?
