RIP Richard Briers

Post: # 271969Post thethriftysquirrels »

Sad news today, Richard was one of our finest actors.

I loved his Shakespeare performances but naturally, my favourite is The Good Life.

How sad. A fine actor and, by all accounts, a nice chap too.

Actually, I quite liked ever decreasing circles. Anyone remember that? He was a great actor and I've heard a nice chap too. A real shame.

Sad to hear he is no longer with us. I especially loved his voice in Watership Down.

Yes, very sad. I remember him in both series and various other things. At least he'll remain in our hearts on this site.

Very sad news :(

Both super.niki and I had a little cry to ourselves.

There was a lovely interview with him and Prunella Scales (they were still really good friends) in the Daily Mail the Friday before he died. It showed him to be a thoroughly good chap and a gentleman.

Apparently, Richard had just done a piece for Top Gear before he died as well...he was the voice of the jolly nice sat-nav!
