Rocket stoves
Rocket stoves
We are planning on building a rocket stove this summer. Has anyone been heating themselves with one? How efficient are they? Any advice, photos? We are also considering putting a very small one in my husband's workshop which is tiny (14m2) but gets icy in winter, any suggestions on a format that wouldn't take over the all place?

Re: Rocket stoves
We built one last year, and it greatly reduced our firewood use. We burn small diameter sticks in it, so it is easy to get firewood from our neighbors, cause that's the stuff they don't burn!
Use firebricks for the burning chamber and internals.
Our build has a small footprint:

Re: Rocket stoves
That looks great
I am looking at a new workshop for my business at the moment and if I get the place I am after I will build a RMH in time for the winter.
Thanks for posting
