Can anyone help identify these please

I'm having problems with photobucket so I'm hoping this will come up via skydrive. Can anyone help identify this large bush with the white flowers and also the delicate little white/pink ones below please? You can see their leaves are not obvious but are down at the base, ie not the ones from the bush which on first glance look as if they belong to it. Both in our new garden and I can't find them in any of our books. Thanks

Hi, I think the small flowers look like Astrantia Major and the bush looks like Rowan (tree)

Thanks for that and I think you are definitely right about the first one.

I'm not sure about the Rowan though as I don't remember having seen any berries on it and it's definitely a big bush rather than a tree. We only moved here in November though so perhaps I missed them last year. The leaves seem quite soft and something makes me think rowan are more substantial too. Perhaps I will have to wait and see!

Leaves look too pointed for rowan, but not sure what they are.

If it is flowering like that now I think it may be Japanese Rowan, they have more pointed leaves than the more common one

Thanks everyone. I'll go out and take a better photo tomorrow and post it. I appreciate the help.
