hello from southwest France

Post: # 284311Post lienbackwards »

Here we are 20kms north of the Pyrenees and 120 from the Atlantic coast due east of Biarritz. The house is called Lahon (the source) and is in the small hamlet of Mouhous.
We arrived nearly 11 years ago from Colchester in Essex and we run painting courses and have a converted barn for rent for 12 people as well.
The house has 5 bedrooms and an apartment, various garages and outbuildings and is set in around 5 hectares of flat land on the edge of a valley with views of the Pyrenees. We are selfsufficienish with 2 wells and a large vegetable plot. There is also a 1 acre wood and a plantation of about 400 twenty year old trees. But are we happy? Well, no as we have decided to sell our home and move to a smaller property as we are now both retired. We've given it a good go but the time has come to spend a bit more time with ourselves and grandchildren in Spain and the UK but we will still be living France. If you want to have a look at Lahon, please visit:

The site isn't complete with some more photos and a video to be uploaded.
