Has anybody seen or heard anything how supermarkets compare on the waste issue? I've always felt that maybe the likes of Aldi and Lidl, who are not afraid of running out of stock, might do better - they obviously don't overbuy to make sure their shelves are always stocked... (Which would be one reason why they can be cheaper, too.)

Thanks for that link. Yeah - interesting. But it gives the total weight of waste per country, which doesn't take into account the size of the country... Would be more interesting still if we knew waste per person.
(Yes, I know - could work it out, but too lazy just now to find the citizens per country figures!)

The answer ina is too much - an easy enough sum? In my books any waste is too much you see.
