Whether the weather will cooperate
Re: Whether the weather will cooperate
Absolutely stunning sunshine on Man the past two days, weather has definitely cooperated for my holiday so far.

Re: Whether the weather will cooperate
Rain this morning - sun and exceptionally high temperatures (well, up to 20 degree) forecast for this afternoon! And I can't get out of my back door, the one that gets me into the garden, because the locking mechanism broke last night, and it's a long journey from my front door (which I never use) to the garden... Argh!!!

So it is here now.becks77 wrote:Glorious here in East Sussex
It was thick fog all last night until about 9 o'clock this morning when it suddenly went and we have had unbroken sunshine since with no clouds at all.
It'll probably return tonight though.

It looked pretty overcast, with signs it might have rained last night, but turned into another glorious day for me (my holiday timing couldn't have been better it seems)

Strewth! already 22 degrees at 9.00 here - I am a bit concerned, I have lost an avocado in the car somewhere and it must be at least 50 degrees in there!

Avocados aren't usually ripe when you buy them, and they are used to high temperatures where they grow, so you might be lucky - provided you find it!
Is it just my impression, or have avocados become very expensive over the last months?

Re: Whether the weather will cooperate
It is a bit tricky. If they are picked far too early, they never ripen properly, so even if they are soft they don't taste nice. I love a good avocado - and they are very healthy, too, but I can't afford them these days.

Ah well, it'll be all change tomorrow no doubt.

Well it's changed already, we now have sea fog and the temperature has dropped to 17c.
