I have decided to only drink beer in aluminium cans

In 30 years or so I should have quite a lot of ali to sell for my pension

This years bonhams. I actually got them early September but never got round to photographing them

This year I am going for low input feeding. They get 300g of bought ration, and as much swede as they like, plus what they can forage

This will reduce the cost of fattening them

The pigs and the turkeys are making fine foraging companions

The plan worked well

For a financial input of 200 euro we got 60 kg of meat = 3.33 euro/kg

Not bad compared to 21 euro/kg for organic pork

do they cover just the family needs or do you manage do have some extra? Do you also have chicken?

At present we just fatten the two for ourselves, but I'm considering ramping up production to sell. There are several quite big free range meat processors in the area

We might even consider an organic symbol

We also buy in baby broilers for the freezer

We lost our internet service for a month due to 3 buying up O2 and dispensing with any masts that were doubled up

By the time we got service restored I had fallen out of the habit of being online and didn't bother getting back into it
