Crafty Storage for DMC flosses etc

What do you get when you cross DMC cross stitch floss with Jumbo Paperclips?

A cheap storage solution, that's what:

I'm going to have to make some kind of wire display that I can hook them onto but I already have an idea for that and will follow in time.

I don't have the spare cash for bobbins or those plastic things you slide the floss onto for storage so this was a cheap and quick solution

Well I had to look at the photo as I had no idea what most of all that meant (thought you meant dental floss  ). Looks like a knitting stitch holder to me too but great idea and pretty too. :thumbright:

Guess that makes 2 non embroiderers - I thought she was talking about dental floss at first too! Funny how DH knew what it was! :? Looks good tho - and I'll bet it has many more applications too. Well done SPS!

Fantastic sps :thumbright: And you'll know where to find your stitch holder the next time you do some knitting

(I know where mine is too - it's been in the same cardigan neckline for the last 10 years or so  )

Well done SPS, I thinks it's amazing how being a little more frugal about things fires up imaginations. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Excellent idea SPS, my floss... flosses... floss's... :shaking: are all shoved in a little drawer at the moment and are crying out for organisation!

Hee hee... I'm really pleased with it and once I get my cabinet made for holding said flosses I will be really happy.

I am thankful however that this time I actually have a whole spare room to turn into a craft room so I won't be tripping over my wool. yarn. tools. jewellery stuff, beads, costumes and on and on... hmmm... anyone got a spare empty aeroplane hanger they feel like renting me :D

Sounds cool but the image is no longer available. I cross stitch and finding suitable storage is always a challenge! I use bobbins, bags, card thread holders and DMC plastic boxes...

I'm guessing the image has been lost in the mists of time, Elise. I haven't been able to access any of my flickr pics for years!

Laundry pods come in closeable boxes, so if you know people who use them, ask them for one.
