Shall I up the good life steaks?

Post: # 3218Post Andy Hamilton »

Was giving a bit of thought to the avitars, when I first set the limits the froum was a bit of a ghost town so it was worht keeping them low. Now that it is quite active shall I up the limits a bit? Other wise we could end up with a forum full of barbaras.

Or am I being a big meanie and should I let us all become barbara.

I don't mind... but I'd prefer to have the pictures smaller. Otherwise people's personalised avatars get dwarfed!

I am counting on a new, improved bum when I become a Barbara! But maybe it does make sense to change things a bit. I'll just have to go to the gym.

Dare I point it out - there is a spell check on this page...

Anyway, I still don't know what this good life thing is all about. Am I missing something? Like TV for example? Is it a programme or what, and if so, what is it about? (Stupid question, I know it's about the good life...)

Usually when I don't get it, it's because I don't watch telly.

The good life is a british sitcom that was made in the 1970's. the basic premise centred around a couple who lived in surbiton, a london suburb, and tried to be self sufficient. They grew crops, kept animals, a goat called geraldene and some chickens.

They lived next door to another couple who were the opposite and in a lot of ways found their life a bit of an embarissment.

I wish I was! I lived in London from 1977 to 81, and that was after I'd left school! But I still managed to miss that. Fact is, I grew up without TV and never really got into the habit later. But then, I remember stuff like The hitchhiker's guide on radio the first time round, and everybody else remembers it on telly...

We had to import the DVD and can only play it on my daughter's computer as our DVD player only works for our region (Bugger!).
