Alien looking clear jelly in bog
as the subject says... was in a quite boggy and mossy bit on the croft. thought it looked like a smooth chunk of clear ice.(eh?)..roughly the size of my fist.. I poked it and it was all jiggly! EEEK! what is it?

Came to this post just as the mystery was solved. I havew never come across fungus like that before, cheers for mentioning it. I feel educated now.

Ahhhhh, this post appart from educating is giving a warm glow (or should that be cold shiver) of nostalga! It reminds me of a bedsit I used to live in that had all these and more! The jellymoulds in the bathrooms were particularly impressive. It was finally condemned, but maybe they should have turned it into a national 'mould park'!
