You are young at heart when...

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

You are young at heart when...

Post: # 48752Post Andy Hamilton »

As an antidote to everyone feeling old with the "you know you are getting old when..." post - You are young at heart when...

1. You still like to hide and jump out on people.
2. There is the occasional mud fight on your plot
3. With any spare pastry you make rude shapes out of them and serve them up with the dinner.
4. You laugh when someone farts.
First we sow the seeds, nature grows the seeds then we eat the seeds. Neil Pye

5. You really enjoy a good snowball fight
6. You get in there first and make the first snow angel before the kids get a look in.

11. You see places in your garden which would make good dens.
12. You like to kick the fallen leaves around in autumn.
13. You still pick up conkers even though you have no intention of playing conkers and then you wonder what to do with them.
14. You still collect seashells whenever you go to the beach and take them home then wonder what to do with them.
15. You snigger when you fart yourself.

17 You go into Claires Accessories with your daughter and end up having to work hard to avoid buying those really funky boot laces, some huge dangly earrings and a glittery hand bag!!

18 You go into a book shop and make straight for the childrens section to look at Elmo the Elephant and the one with the glittery fish!

19 When its really windy you still play "how far can I lean into the wind?"

20 Your fave Video is Trap Door and you have the ring tone on your mobile
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

21 - you 're actually rather pleased with the mp3 player your daughter got you for your birthday - and even more pleased that you've sussed out how to work it! :cooldude:
22 - you are to be seen quietly boogying in the mud of an afternoon's dogwalk (under the influence of the above!)

When you have the Bagpuss theme tune as your ring tone

when you still get excited by jelly and icecream

when you still rescue teddy bears and other cuddly toys etc from jumble sales and carboot sales even though you haven't got an inch of space spare
