upside down people....

Post: # 52411Post the.fee.fairy »

According to Ebay, all the solar fairy lights seem to come from Oz.

Can someone do me a favour and see how much they are to buy and post to the UK please? I want to check prices before i go mad bidding in ebay...

Ideally, i'm after white strings (i thnk they'll show up best in the bottles: see wine bottle edging in RRR), as many lights as possible.

At the moment, the strings are roughly £33 inc postage on Ebay.

If anyone in Oz can get them cheaper to buy and post, then i'm happy to paypal some money to them if they'd be lovely people and grab a couple for me!

I've got approx. 40ft of edging, but i don't want it all at once!! (plus the postage would be horrendous on a heavy item).

Alternatively, if anyone sees any on special offer or something and can get loads of them, then i'll give them the details to fedex them to me (the wonders of a staff account!!).

I'd be really grateful!!

Ta very muchly

Here's one site I found

http://www.bazaa.co.nz/product.pasp?cat ... ductid=259

Probably won't see too many while out shopping here at the moment, I'd imagine they would be found around Christmas time.

Thankyou, but they're more expensive without postage than Ebay.

If you see any in shops at a decent price, please let me know!!

Hi
I have a friend coming back from Oz in May. If we can find a stockist before then I'll see if he can get them and bring them over with him. Will be cheaper to post from Swindon than Sydney!

i did see them Thomzo. But, i'm being picky...i want plain lights. They're going to go in wine-bottle edging, in the bottles,s o they've got to be small plain lights. preferably the white ones because they're really bright.

i found a catalogue in Focus today that had a string in there, but they're out of stock.

I'll have a see what stockists i can find on Oz, you're right - the postage will be cheaper from Swindon!!

thankyou for the help!!

It's funny but the same ones are for sale in an insert in this month's copy of the Garden which arrived yesterday. What a coincidence!

I haven't actually seen them but I wonder if the star shapes can be removed just leaving the bulb? I have a set of similar lights (mains powered) and the stars are just little plastic covers that fall off every 5 minutes.

I don't think you can tell from the piccy (it's the same picture as on the website above). I just wonder if you can actually see with the the ones at focus (if they ever get them in).

I expect these ones'll arrive at one of the DIY stores soon enough.
