1. Spread on bread or toast.
2. Doughnut filling.
3. In some cakes e.g. victoria sandwich.
4. Satisfy your sweet tooth after meals with an 'instant' primitive dessert - a teaspoonful of jam.
5. Stir a spoonful into hot rice pudding.

10 Stir into porridge
11 for little one who have speech prounuciation (sp) difficulties put a dab just below cheek bones and get them to try and lick it off ... improves their tongue strength and control.
12 add to plain yogurt.
13 Make steam jam sponge.
14 Jam tarts.
15 give in to the wardens who let me raid the woodland for berries .... :flower:

16 Make Jam Cake - and if I ever find the recipe I'll post it!!
17 Make a jam pudding - basically 4oz flour, 4 oz sugar, 4 oz butter creamed with 2 eggs. Dollops of jam in the bottom of a suitable bowl, topped with cake mix and bung in microwave for a couple if mins until cooked - instant pud - serve with custard, cream or ice cream etc!!

18 Use to sweetend stewed apple.

19 According to Andy, you can put it round the bottom of aphid infested plants to attract ants which will attack the aphids.

20. Make up several small pots, decorate them nicely and give as Christmas presents.

eat it with "homebread" and cheese... cherry is particularly good for this!

here's the recipe for Jam wine

I can't remember where i got the recipe from. It might have been here, so if its your recipe, then holler!

Jam Wine

2 1/2 lbs. of any fruit jam
1 lb sugar
100gm grape concentrate OR 1/2 lb raisins
1 tbs citric acid
1 tsp pectin enzyme(important wine won't clear without it)
1 tsp grape tannin
1 gallon water

pour boiling water over jam in a plastic bucket (stir) and let cool.add pectin enzyme and acid and leave for 24 hours.add (minced raisins or concentrate),sugar, tannin, yeast and yeast nutrient.
Stir well.
Cover and let ferment for 5 days, stirring it once a day. strain the must and put into fermenting jar. when it's finished fermenting. rack then rack again in 6 months,add 1 crushed campden tablet.bottle in about 3 months
