Totally finished the book now! and HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Post: # 79496Post Andy Hamilton »

Just popped into to say that as of 10mins ago the last read through of the selfsufficientish Bible was finished! This means I have read a copy of the whole book from cover to cover and checked for any mistakes, or commented on the design, a pretty long task in itself considering it is over 400 pages!

So I am (as you can imagine) pretty much over the moon. It means I can now spend more time with the website and on this forum. So to all members I have not 'met' hello and I look forward to meeting you. The rest of you lot, I look forward to being on here again.

We had a publicity meeting the other day and with any luck we should be at various music and literary festivals up and down the country. (inc Scotland) So I hope to meet some of you over the year. Also look out for us in Newspapers and magazines next year and listen out for us on the Radio. Should be an exciting selfsufficientish year.

Merry Christmas and a selfsufficientish new year to all of you and big thanks to all the mods for keeping the forum together and happy whilst I have been busy writing.

That's a real result Andy! Excellent news indeed. I've not been about for aaaaaaages but am getting the opportunity to pop in a bit now and then.

Here's to the Bible! :drunken:

Well done you!! Can't wait for it to come out so we can buy a copy! Let us know when you are going to be on telly so that we can watch it!

For the Edinburgh festival with any luck, although still to be confirmed. I guess it will depend on how well the book sells.

Well, pop up when you are here! Aberdeen has a book festival, too, you know...

Well done and welcome back

Edinburgh festival time is too crazy for me (I used to work on the standup comedy circuit... I know how mad and expensive Edinburgh gets.)

I'm with ina, get in on the Aberdeen book festival, I am sure their is one in Mull too

Hi. I am new here but loving the site. Congratulations on the book - what a huge task that must have been but I am guessing it was a labour of love.

Hope it will be available in Australia. Our climate here in the New England area is more like an English climate so much of the info (with a quick change of the months - if that applies) would suit here as well.

Can you start a thread especially for 'public appearances' ? then we track you around the country and know if you are in our neck of the woods
