Wife Swap

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

Did anyone see the one last night with the milionaire family and the 'freetarians'. I'm glad the freetarians highlighted how much food is thrown away but on balance I don't think they were a good advert for either a sustainable or religious lifestyle. One thing surprised me though, if I was a milionaire, I wouldn't shop at T****s

ROFL!!
Glad someone else noticed that about cBeebies' gaff re: the Tetrapak. Richard is so annoyed he wants to write in and complain.

As for the Freegans....I can see the benefits of what they were doing, but why couldn't they have approached the supermarkets and said 'Look, we'll take your rubbish, take a little for ourselves and then redistribute the rest around homeless shelters etc' which really would have done more good than handing out leaflets which no doubt add to the litter problem (hope it was recycled paper, too). Furthermore, I wonder whether they have paid for that ancient motorhome (looking at the badge it was a Talbot - when was the last time YOU saw one of those on the road? About 1979?) to be MOT'd, taxed and insured?

Although I did think the Millionaire was a bit snidey about the amount of tax he paid (come on, he earned plenty....swings and roundabouts, really) and I did get a bit peeved with Mrs Posh breaking down in tears about her son needing £4,000 worth of dental treatment (whilst the kids had a laptop each and half the Philharmonic Orchestra in each enormous bedroom); I did concede that they did have a point about the freegans picking and choosing what areas of society they wanted to opt-out of, and did find the freegans quite hypocritical.

I was annoyed with the Freegans as they kept going about people starving, but what were they actually doing to help starving people?!? And I felt sorry for that little boy, he never did anything fun, not even birthdays. The rich family seemed much nicer. He was a self made millionairre, and I have much more respect for that that for someone who is just a posh toff who inherits all their money, and never works for it.

I know it's OT of Wife Swap, but I want to give Andy a clip round the ear in that song, as it is meant to be sad, about the fishes swimming away and there he is beside Sid, gurning away like a freak (Oh wait... could that be...?) Serious shortage of eye candy for mummies on CBeebies, and when it's all you can watch you begin to miss it. I'm beginning to have bad fantasies about Captain DJ it's getting so bad. Sorry back on topic again

(Mummies will know what I am talking about)

I think Chris is the good guy we should go for (I particularly like his patience with Stick), I'd settle for the Jolly Roger myself. Stupid with large hands
