Well, that's good news regarding the amount of nappies, anyhow. Thank you for letting me know about that, it's very useful. Might get a few shaped ones and a few terry squares and see which ones suit the wee man when he comes and take it from there...
Lots of fab advice for you to think about Rachael - and I'm very sorry I spelt your name wrong on my first post...

I think the 'baby-brain' is affecting me far worse this time than it did when I had Ellis! But then, I ain't getting any younger either so it might just be dementia.....
Look forward to seeing you around xxx

Hedgewitch.....I use lollipop bamboo nappies on Ollie (that's who I work for) and I love them..... more absorbant than cotton, softer, stay softer when dried on the line, only down side is that they take longer than cotton to dry. I love my bamboos! I had a look at the link and they look nice, but a bit expensive. Lollipop sell bamboo nappies for £8 with velcro, those are more than that without velcro. take a look at
www.teamlollipop.co.uk. sorry i am not advertising, i am trying to save hedgewitch money!

Can I just say I will NOT be buying nappies anytime soon (or late for that matter).
My Child bearing days are over.
But I am very interested in eco alternatives barefootlinzi - I have posted about these on a LOT of sites I visit and I would be delighted to include a link to yours as well.
Good for you is all I can say!
Sorry to take over your intro Rachael.

Hi Rachael! I am due in September as well (and a yellow bump too) but with my second child, Beth is 2 1/2 and has been in cloth since 6 months and I am intending this one to be in cloth as soon as we are out of hospital. Only extra advice I have (if it hasn't already been given and I have missed it) is not to commit to a single brand/type of nappy at this stage...different shapes of babies suit different nappies so I would either buy or once it is here, trial, a range of nappies and see which suits best.
