57. People will check their worn out clothing for good buttons, zippers, hooks and eyes, etc., and use the clothes as rags.
58. Ish forums will sprout up around the world, and everyone will enjoy being self-sufficient-ish!

59. people will sell their second homes and people will be able to afford to live in the villages they where born in.

61. People will learn to craft their own furniture. Flat-packs will become a thing of the past.
62. People will use manual garden tools rather than electric/petrol driven, noisy monster tools
63. People will plan journeys so that they can do as many things as possible in a single round trip.

64. More people cycling putting presure on local authorities to give better cycle paths (really needed in some areas of the UK :lol: )

People will spend more of their money in their own country in stead of importing it.

People will learn how to preserve

We wont throw away so much food

Countries may start looking at getting more of their own industries back

69. Children will be taught how to grow fruit & veg and will discover new foods
70. Less gas & electric will be used forcing energy companies to lower their rates.
71. Knitting, crocheting & sewing will no longer been seen as 'sad' or 'old-fashioned' and people of all ages & genders will start making their own instead of buying mass produced, slave labour clothing.

72. People will mend things again instead of throwing them away and buying something new.
73. Companies will be encouraged to make goods that can be mended rather than having to be thrown away after a few weeks.
74. Schools will teach children skills they need for living, such as, how not to get into debt and how to cook from scratch.
75. Charities will stop wasting money on releasing balloons which then pollute the countryside, waterways and the sea.
76. People will stop being squeamish about eating real foods such as goat, squirrel and home grown vegetables.

77. With people growing their own foods, kids will learn what vegetables actually look like & will be able to identify them

78. Wearing wellies will be SO fashionable that I will be in vogue for a change!

79. being ISH will be the new black :wink:

80. New clothes will be bought or made only to replace those that are worn out

81. Home made, home spun, hand woven, hand knitted, will be the norm not the wierd (however I am quite happy being wierd :shaking2: )

82. Libraries will have knitting and sewing patterns to borrow

83. Village halls/church rooms/school halls will be used for workshops to learn crafts and home skills, payment being just sufficient to cover the utilities.

85. Hair salons and shopping malls will give way to public parks and fountains.

Nearly there I think rather than contact the BBC as suggested I might try and contact a few national newspapers and try and get this thread in there.

86. The amount of large articulated lorries on the roads will decrease due to less consumer spending and less goods needing to be transported. Making the roads and towns and cities much nicer places to walk or cycle around.
87. Charity shops will take more money.
88. Skip diving will become an olympic sport (ok that one was just for fun)
