Good idea Pumpy.
Only problem is they are bush varieties that fruits on the side shoots, and as it's a fairly dwarf variety there are not that many side shoots to spare.

I tried that last year for the first time and it really works. Towards the end of the season I pinched out a side shoot and dropped it by mistake on the soil of the tub the tom was growing in. Within days the side shoot had rooted into the compost and righted itself and before the main plants were history it was even producing flowers!!! :shock:

It really does work, tho' not so sure with bush varietes ( as Tony says)........ but give it a go!! :wave:
