You could always end up somewhere like here, where thee's no such thing as local... everyone's from somewhere else. But then you end up with a hierarchy based on who's lived there the longest / owns most land. Can we just accept that people are weird?

Ah, but what is weird?

To some, weird would be the people who danced naked around "our" standing stones - in winter!

To others, weird is going to work in an office, eat M&S sarnies for lunch, and trying to keep up with the latest fashions.

To me, weird is everything else except me!!!!

...And how do we define 'normal'?!

I guess I will just have to kick around here for a while. We just have more anti-social types in one cluster.(the plastic burners etc)

Shirlz... nice idea but I would freeze to death in Scotland. I am a Southern Softie.

I thought I *was* gonna freeze to death when I moved up here. Originally, I'm from Bucks, and I came up here on Nov 1st one year, and really thought I was dying. I don't think I've ever experienced cold like it (and that was central Scotland, not the frozen north where I live now!). I've acclimatised though, and it's great when I go down to see my folks because it's like a Bermuda holiday
