Fabbo, get brewin'! A friend of mine in Cornwall makes cider in his barn in 400 gallon casks, and it's usually as you'd expect... but a couple of years ago he got a bunch of apples from two "rogue" trees that we think might have been accidental MacIntosh escapees from the states, and I have never NEVER tasted anything like it. Sweet, tart, crisp, clean - the essence of everything cider should be but never manages. Ahhh.
A few pints of that, Samain 2004, three hours of rummy (Tiverton rules) and oddly enough no hangover the next morning. Magic.
