That's quite typical of him. He once insisted he had to go to work (in our pizzeria) when he was in the middle of an attack of pericarditis! And another time when he chopped the end of his thumb off with a meat slicer he didn't what to go to A&E because a plaster would do (He'd lost loads of blood, and drove home then too). Shades of the stoneyhead curse!
