Hi
I've been going up there just before I go to work and popping back at lunchtime when I can and I've been getting a couple of eggs a day. They had their first "mustard" egg, with loads of chilli and mint thrown in for good measure, yesterday.
I noticed that the contents were strewn all over the nest box last night so they mustn't have liked it too much. Now I have to clear it up - yuk.
The shells are getting better though using the oyster shell in mash potato method. They still aren't eating all of the grit but I am putting loads in to see if I can get them to eat some of it.

No - the books didn't make either of these suggestions but they do seem to be working. One of the big advantages of this forum. 4 eggs again today.Kev wrote:Thats great. Theres some Really good suggestions in this topic. I've not heard of the mustard egg or using oyster shell in mash potato before, Sounds good.
Kev.
