making salad dressing in, they're just the right size for a couple or small family.
generally i use 2parts vinegar to 1 oil, but i never measure. add half a spoon of mustard to help it amalgamate, shove lid on the jar and shake.

22. (I think) Gel air fresheners- gelatine or agar agar/vegegel, water, food colouring and essential oils of choice. Make up gel according to the instructions, add colouring and fragrance. Tip into jar before it sets. Remove lid when you want the smell.
NB It doesn't keep for that long, but the fragrance will fade too. The children and I made a lovely lavender one for MIL birthday (in a 'crystal' container I got from the PDSA shop, admittedly, but you could jazz up the jars for gifts I guess)
23. fill with sweets/small toys for fundraising childrens Lucky Jar Tombola. Encourage children to leave the jar in a box so you can use them again next year...

20 Use them for kids fingerpainting.
21 Store crayons in them.
22 Use with water in to root cuttings.

23 Mix a little paint with water in and use for kids finger paints.
