start one of those government petitiions that the government never looks at but set up so the people can feel they have had their say even though they are really being ignored, all just to keep the people down...

Those of us in Scotland can vote for independance then push Mr Salmond and the rest of that bunch to set up our own time zone up in Scotland.
I think either permenant BST, or BST+1. It might be weird crossing the border and having to change your clocks, and maybe your currency if we get the euro as well.
I'd be up for the 'bells' (new year count down)i n Carlise, then cross the border and get to do it all over again
