Probably more than is in the chips...
I read somewhere that the shakes at McD's and others like it don't contain any milk - which is why they aren't called milk shakes, but "thick shakes". Saying that, I actually used to quite like them - more than any of their other food! Haven't had any for years, though.

Use by dates are a funny thing. I am currently using milk at home that's use by 27th November - that's a whole week ago - and it's perfectly OK. And I don't even have the fridge on.

was it a t*sc*s? cos I've stopped buying any meat there after I had 2 whole chickens go off within their use-bys.

I've also had chicken breasts from a well trusted local butcher that were off too so don't think they arn't affected.

I wonder if anything at McDos is real. Their 'fries' (note: no mention of the word potato) don't come from potatoes. I don't need proof, I can tell! That's why they taste like :pukeright: I feel the same about their thick shakes too - I've never ordered one but had a sip of my OH's - he actually likes them. (darn, can't find that jaw dropping open emoticon!)

I do like their chocolate brownies though!
