Aren't they such a waste of time and money... Now, if it was at least decent chocolate, I wouldn't mind the odd one or two - but when I see the low-quality muck that's on sale, with masses of packaging, it really makes me sad!
Back in the good old days

, when the eggs you bought were almost all white, we used to dye them with onion skin. It's so difficult nowadays to get white eggs, though - maybe I should try and find some so I could revive an old custom! There's lots of other natural dyes one could use for easter eggs, too. And I have a few times bought goose eggs, blown them out and decorated them for Easter. Much nicer than most of the stuff you can buy.
