The allotment inspection committee won't be seeing too many thriving plots this week. It's not the blight that's the problem, just that we have been washed out. Still some of us have had some crops of sorts but no-one is singing about their spuds round here.

Yes, our spuds have gone west too. Have been throwing tiny ones into casseroles, waste not want not and all that but won't have any to store. Weirdly - my courgettes are poor this year - lack of polination? At least broad and runner beans are producing bumper crops this year!
